Our Philosophy

How can we live well and make the most of the potential within us?

This question has guided us through our various businesses—and ultimately led us to rethink the way we eat.
In Japan, we enjoy cuisines from around the world. Yet knowing where our food comes from, how it was produced, and what has been added is not always easy. Plenty of options do not always mean truly informed choices.

That is why we began exploring delicious vegan cuisine: to bring people together around the same table, sharing food that nourishes the body.

What we eat helps build our bodies.

Mahatma Gandhi encouraged people to eat to sustain life and serve others, rather than simply to indulge themselves. Through fasting as a form of protest, he also showed that eating—or choosing not to eat—could convey a powerful message.
Our food carries a message, too: we want you to be well. We want everyone to have the freedom to choose food that meets their needs and reflects their values, wherever they are.

We hope that one day, people will choose vegan food simply because it is delicious—a natural part of everyday life.

We depend on the Earth not only for food, but for our very existence.
Our brand name, MERCY, represents compassion—and, for us, a way of life.

With care for you, the people you love, and our planet, MERCY Vegan Factory continues to develop and serve delicious, nutritious vegan cuisine. We use no animal-derived ingredients, honey, or white sugar. Some white sugar is refined using bone char, an animal-derived processing aid.
We want everyone to come together around a shared table—with exceptionally delicious vegan food.

We will continue to explore the possibilities of flavor in vegan cuisine, with the hope of making your everyday life healthier and more beautiful.
